I recently went to the M&S café when an elderly man at a table near us grabbed my attention. God does this sometimes – it’s His way of compelling me to cross a room when you get a glimpse of how raging and generous His love is for them. So, I approached this man because God had given me the sense that he was bereaved and lonely. This man had in fact recently been bereaved and hearing his story was incredible.
We chatted for some time and he asked me all about God and how He speaks to me and I was able to share with Him that God wants to speak to him too. He concluded that he had seen something of the goodness of God that day. What a privilege to hear the story of and connect with a fellow passenger in life! God really is alive and at work ‘out there’ in our City centres, and invites us to join Him!
I love this story- makes me want to look out for more and more of these moments. I was inspired last week-end in Edinburgh working with Howards church, to be brave and simply go for it with hunches and words that I felt were from God’s heart. Thanks Anina for all you do!
Great story, about the simple things that reveal God’s heart to others – but also reveal glimpses on what we are really here for… love it, and I agree with Chris – it’s fresh inspiration to keep open to the whispers of God’s Spirit!

There’s something wonderful about these small moments, that when acted upon, can make such a difference to someone’s life.
Well batted!
