Student Support Worker Vacancy
The Light Project is growing! With over 30 undergraduate students joining us this year and the development of a new BA (Hons) course beginning soon, we are looking to recruit someone who has a passion for supporting and equipping our students as they train in evangelism and mission. This is an exciting time for us as our training branches out into resourcing and equipping pioneers to make countless disciples of Jesus.
The student support worker is a part-time role assisting students and staff working on the Foundation Degree of Arts in Theology, Mission and Evangelism. This is a university course delivered by The Light Project and validated by The University of Chester. It will involve working closely with a small team at The Light Project in Chester and with distance-learner students based around the country. The role will involve 6 residential teaching blocks throughout the academic year which take place in Chester of Birmingham.
The person should be organised and competent with IT. Ideally, they should have some experience supporting students in education. As the role involves working closely with students, often when they are struggling, it requires a person who is relational and is willing to take an active interest in people and their development.
It is an occupational requirement that this person be a practising Christian in order to provide pastoral and prayer support to other practising Christians on the course.
Please send completed applications to the course leader, Glyn Jones before 12 noon on August 27th, 2018
Interviews will be scheduled for the week commencing 3rd September, 2018
