1:Prayer

Please pray for the following

• For our students, that they will grow to know our LORD and learn to share the good news effectively
• For the projects, that people will see hear and experience the living God and be changed through an encounter with him!
• For the churches in the UK for whom we work with
• For our trustees, for wisdom and discernment
• For Glyn and Chris leading the work of the Light Project

You can join us to pray any Monday morning in Chester during term time. We meet in St Anselm Chapel in Chester Cathedral from 9:15 to 10:15.
We also set aside a quiet space in our Chester office to pray on Wednesday from 12-1 and Thursday 11-12 every week.

2: Volunteering

Each year we take volunteers who come to work with us either to gain experience or just to offer their skills and time. The Light Project could not function without these people so do please consider giving some of your time. Contact us on info@lightproject.org.uk for more information.

Join our 500 partnership

We are looking for 500 supporters over the next 5 years to support our work.  To join our 500 Partnership you can complete a standing order form for a regular monthly amount.  Please call us on 01244 400221 to request a form as they aren’t available on line.

If you are a United Kingdom tax payer then please also complete the gift aid section so that we can claim an extra 25p from the government for every £1 you donate.

Payroll Giving

If your employer is part of the Payroll Giving scheme, you can make a regular tax-free donation to The Light Project direct from your pay or pension.

Through payroll giving a £10 donation will only cost you £8. The taxman will add the extra £2.00or even more if you are a higher rate taxpayer!

Self Assessment Tax Return

Did you know that anyone who completes a Self Assessment tax return can nominate the charity of their choice to receive all or part of any repayment?

All you need to do to donate some or all of your tax repayment to the Light Project is include our unique identifier number on the tax return form in box 19A.3. Our unique id number is DAE62DG.

With your agreement the Inland Revenue will treat this refund as a Gift Aid donation, meaning that the Light Project will get an extra 25p for every £1 donated. For us to receive this extra money at no cost to you all you have to do is tick box 19A.4 on the tax return form.

What are the advantages?

• The donation will be credited directly into our bank account.
• The tax return incorporates a Gift Aid declaration
• Gift Aid will be paid directly to us without us having to make a claim
• Uniquely, it allows us to receive Gift Aid on anonymous donations

Shop Online

If you shop online there’s now a simple, easy and free way for you to support the Light Project.Best of all you can even save money!

Each year our volunteers, student and staff participate in a number of fundraising and  sponsorship events. Perhaps you might like to join in!

The Light Project is a member of the Evangelical Alliance and we subscribe to their basis of Faith. We believe in…

1. The one true God who lives eternally in three persons-the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
2. The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
3. The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God-fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.
4. The dignity of all people, made male and female in God’s image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgment.
5. The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ-born of the virgin Mary, truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.
6. The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
