We have a heart to demonstrate and relate the most fabulous message of all time to our generation in a relevant and transforming way. In partnership with The University of Chester, we deliver 2 unique courses -

1. 1 year gap-year

2. 2 year Foundation degree of Arts in ‘Community Evangelism’

Whatever course you do with us, we believe in training by learning and doing.

Learning

Each week students have lectures on some aspect of mission and evangelism. This involves studying four areas;

Theology – What we believe as Church and individual Christians and how this affects evangelism as well as the colourful history of mission over the past 2000 years including characters such as Wesley and Francis of Assisi to mention a couple.

Communication & Culture - In these modules we explore tools of communicating effectively in a relevant way and aspects of our modern culture – the goal at the end is to be able to relate the two and learn some helpful tips along the way

Biblical Studies - These modules help you get to real grips with what the bible meant to its original readers and what it means to us today – they will stretch and challenge you to use the bible effectively in mission and evangelism – an invaluable tool.

Reflective practice - We believe that reflecting on what we do is really important. This area of training involves reflecting on your week-to-week experience of working in a Christian context.

Doing

For the rest of the week students work on either mission or evangelism projects as well as serving on a church placement. We run or have links with a variety of projects from homeless outreach to evangelism courses, from schools work to street art, from drama to youth clubs, from preaching to urban festivals and a whole host more. Each student will gain a taste of how to do mission and evangelism in different contexts. To see more about the projects
